Hi,
I've just started blogging with Blogger which is relatively easy, as you say. However, I'm wondering if your point about control of the data means that I won't be able to convert or migrate the content I've created in Blogger to some other software if I decide that Blogger isn't for me?
thanks for any advice,
patti

>Here's some quick advice: - To get started blogging quickly and for free when you don't care about total control of your data and don't mind the prospect of maybe switching your blog somewhere else later, use Blogger
- To get started blogging quickly and easily and have control over your data, when you don't mind paying a nominal fee (approx $40/yr.), try Radio
- For more advanced users who have access to their host server and want control over their server and data, start with a free download of Movable Type (or, if you prefer a PHP-native tool, try pMachine
- If you just want to keep an online diary and are not planning to use your site for business networking, then LiveJournal is a good choice.
All of the above have free and paid options (with more service for paid users), except Radio, which does have a free 30-day trial option. Hope that helps.
